Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely appear as the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and five results in a total of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pay out eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played properly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of past conclusions on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful method is the 1-three-two-6 method. This process is employed to increase winnings and controlling risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
