Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of 10 are valued at face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only portray the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 results in a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pays eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are noticeably better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is surely not a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of prior conclusions on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-6 technique. This scheme is employed to pump up winnings and lowering risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
