Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only portray the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 … 5 produces a total of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the foll. rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or nine, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are emphatically better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

When played effectively, baccarat presents generally good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an actual indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of old outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six scheme. This tactic is used to pump up profits and reducing risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
