Punto Banco Principles
Punto banco is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the cards, however the first digit is ignored. For example, a hand of five and six has a score of 1 (5 plus 6 equals 11; drop the first ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be dealt based on the rules below:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, the two players hold.
- If the player has five or lower, she hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the gambler stands, the house takes a card on a total less than 5. If the gambler hits, a guide is employed to figure out if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (even payout less a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you depart the game so ensure you have cash remaining before you head out). Winning bets on the player pays 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pays 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a awful wager as ties occur less than one in every ten rounds. Avoid gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)
Gambled on correctly punto banco gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games punto banco has quite a few familiar misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events yet to happen. Recording past results at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most accepted and definitely the most successful method is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This method is deployed to build up earnings and limit losses.
Start by placing one unit. If you succeed, add one more to the 2 on the table for a sum of 3 chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will have 6 on the table, pull off four so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, add 2 on the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you do not win on the 1st round, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the initial round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a hit on the third gives you with a profit of 2. And wins on the initial 3 with a hit on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all 4 wagers gives you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you will be able to not win on the 2nd bet 5 instances for each successful run of 4 bets and still break even.
