Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are of their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply depict the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven and five gives a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a total score of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays out at eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties will occur less than one every 10 hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Even so odds are radically better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played correctly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Monitoring of previous outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-two-6 method. This plan is used to boost profits and minimizing risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
