Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under 10 are counted at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they strictly symbolize the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five results in a score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be dealt depending on the foll. codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays 8 to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are remarkably better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

Played accurately, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of old results on a chart is a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and feasibly most successful method is the one-three-2-six concept. This schema is employed to build up payouts and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
