Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only appear as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five will have a tally of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the following standards:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. abstain from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are exceedingly better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

When done effectively, baccarat provides pretty good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Keeping track of last results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and probably most successful technique is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This process is employed to boost profits and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
