Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than 10 are give a value of face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they only appear as the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 and five has a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be played depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or nine, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out eight to one but sometimes nine to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are significantly better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)

Played properly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not a predictor of future outcomes. Keeping track of last results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-6 technique. This method is used to increase profits and controlling risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
