Baccarat Codes
Punto banco is bet on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the total of the two cards, although the 1st number is ignored. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus 6 equals eleven; drop the initial ‘1′).
A additional card may be given using the rules below:
- If the gambler or bank gets a total of 8 or nine, the two players stand.
- If the player has less than five, he hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the gambler stays, the banker hits on a total less than 5. If the player hits, a guide is used to decide if the house holds or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19:20 (even money minus a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you quit the table so be sure to have money left over just before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pay 8:1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus 8 to 1)
Wagered on properly baccarat gives relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a handful of common misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Tracking past results at a table is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.
The most familiar and definitely the most favorable strategy is the one-three-two-six tactic. This tactic is employed to maximize winnings and limit risk.
Begin by wagering 1 dollar. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a grand total of three units on the second bet. If you win you will hold 6 on the table, pull off 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. Should you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.
If you do not win on the first round, you take a loss of one. A profit on the initial bet followed by a loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Success on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a gain of two. And success on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you are even. Winning at all four wagers gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can give up the second bet five times for each successful streak of 4 wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
