Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than ten are of face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely depict the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five produces a value of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A third card can be given out depending on the following codes:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or nine, then both players stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay out 8 to one and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Even so odds are substantially better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)
When done smartly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of last results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six technique. This method is used to amplify profits and lowering risk.
Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th gamble.
If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
