Baccarat Practices and Strategy

Baccarat Banque Rules

Baccarat chemin de fer is played with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the two cards, although the beginning digit is dumped. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a score of 1 (five plus 6 = 11; ditch the 1st ‘one’).

A additional card will be given using the following rules:

- If the gambler or bank gets a value of eight or nine, both players hold.

- If the gambler has five or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler stays, the banker hits on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a table is employed to figure out if the house stands or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The higher of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even payout minus a 5% commission. Commission are tracked and paid off when you quit the game so make sure you have funds around just before you quit). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor wager as ties occur less than one in every ten hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8 to 1)

Played correctly baccarat banque offers pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has a few general misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future actions. Recording past results on a chart is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.

The most common and likely the most favorable scheme is the one-three-two-six technique. This method is employed to pump up profits and limit risk.

Start by betting 1 dollar. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a sum of three dollars on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you are left with two on the third round. If you win the 3rd round, put down 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

Should you lose on the initial round, you take a loss of one. A win on the first wager followed by a hit on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the initial two with a loss on the third gives you with a profit of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four rounds leaves you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you are able to give up the second wager 5 times for every favorable run of 4 bets and still break even.
